Lead through Innovation
Design innovations and products novelties, such as the new tile format of 60 x 30 cm, VILLI glass tiles on exterior façades and unique applications on curved sub-constructions, captivated the visitors of Bau 2007 in Munich.
VILLI presented its comprehensive collection, which had met with acclaim at the Cersaie in Bologna, in its appealing display area of almost 80 m2 at Bau 2007 - the largest specialized fair for construction materials. Architects, planners, civil engineers and dealers were impressed by the technical possibilities that are available with the use of VILLI products.
The new format 60 x 30 cm responds to the current trend toward larger surfaces, where VILLI once again shows the way. "60 x 30 cm in glass is not only an innovation for interiors. We offer architects and civil engineers an esthetically pleasing product that his also technically outstanding for exterior applications, such as building facades or pools" said Hans Köstenbauer, Managing Director at VILLI.
It was previously known that VILLI offers many sizes for special applications to cover corners, edges, and steps. The novelty is now that intensive research and development work has enabled VILLI to produce specialized sizes as required by the most complicated architecture. Curves and arches can now be produced in larger sizes - an innovation that is exciting on more than technical grounds. The normal VILLI surface makes these specialized sizes even more exciting by their visual impacts, particularly in the shaped segments.
The presentation in the display area also demonstrated how easy to is to use VILLI glass tiles and mosaics. "Many tile installers have had bad experiences with inferior products, particularly from Asia, such that there is often a general aversion against glass tiles," Martin Orasch, application technician at VILLI, pointed out. "But the careful production process for VILLI products leaves them essentially free of stresses. Many tile installers, who watched me score, cut and drill, were surprised that VILLI products could be used so simply and without any problems."
BAU 2007 was the successful start for many upcoming fairs that will present the wide range of products. VILLI will be an exhibitor at the "Surface Design Show" in London in March and at "MosBuild" in Moscow and "Coverings in Chicago" in April.
